Beyond Bank & Fight Cancer Foundation
Fight Cancer Foundation and Beyond Bank Australia are excited to launch a partnership that celebrates the power of communities coming together to support children and families affected by cancer. United by a shared commitment to community, connection, and meaningful impact, both organisations are focused on improving lives, supporting people through challenging times, and building stronger, more resilient communities, making this partnership a natural fit.
Kicking off with Footy Colours Day, Beyond Bank Australia staff and customers will come together to wear their favourite team's colours and raise vital funds for Fight Cancer Foundation. These funds help provide accommodation for regional and rural families who must travel for treatment, ensuring no child faces cancer alone. Families travel from Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania, and beyond, often at short notice, for stays ranging from a few weeks to more than 100 days. Fight Cancer Foundation's accommodation services ease the financial and emotional burden of treatment by providing a welcoming home away from home close to major hospitals.
Fight Cancer Foundation CEO, Rod Wealands said, “Beyond Bank is a natural fit for Fight Cancer Foundation because, like us, they believe in the power of community to create a meaningful change. Our two properties exist to support the community. We are delighted to partner with an organisation whose values align so closely with our own and whose support will help ensure no family faces cancer alone.”
Beyond Footy Colours Day, the partnership will support more families to access accommodation during some of life's most challenging times. Through financial support, fundraising, volunteering, and community engagement initiatives, Beyond Bank Australia will help families stay close to treatment while focusing on what matters most, their child's health and wellbeing.
Through the partnership, Beyond Bank Australia will provide a community partnership contribution, engage staff and customers in fundraising and volunteering activities, and help create a sustainable revenue stream for Fight Cancer Foundation through the Beyond Bank Community Reward Program.
Marlaina McPhillips, Community Development Manager at Beyond Bank Australia, said, “We’re proud to partner with Fight Cancer Foundation to support children and families when they need it most. At Beyond Bank, we believe strong communities are built through care, connection, and practical support, and this partnership gives our people and customers a meaningful way to help families stay close to treatment, care, and each other.”
