Face of Hope: Jason Hunt
Jason first became involved with Fight Cancer Foundation when he ran a half-marathon in Perth as a member of TEAM Fight Cancer.
Over a year later, Jason continues to fundraise for Fight Cancer Foundation, with help from his wife Deborah.
How long have you been involved with Fight Cancer Foundation?
I first got invovled about 12 months ago.
What do you do? (What does this involve/look like?)
I initially ran a half marathon as part of TEAM Fight Cancer to raise money to donate to Fight Cancer Foundation. Since then I have been selling excess chicken eggs, from our backyard chickens, at work for a gold coin donation per dozen.
How did you become involved?
I was devestated when my boss, friend and mentor passed away in 2016 after a short battle with Lymphoma. I decided I wanted to help families in a similar situation to my boss, so I chose to fundraise for Fight Cancer Foundation as they are a charity supporting people with blood cancer.
Why do you choose to volunteer your time with Fight Cancer Foundation?
You feel a part of a family and a part of something by volunteering your time for the Fight Cancer Foundation - you can actually see the difference being made.
