For our Special Mention award we couldn’t go past Gunnedah High School!
Gunnedah is a small rural country town in NSW where footy plays a significant role as an escape from daily struggles for the kids and adults who live there.
We are so thankful to the students and school community of Gunnedah for hosting a Footy Colours Day event and raising money for Fight Cancer Foundation’s education support programs while they themselves are suffering hardship.
“They (the students) wanted to help and try to show a difference. We had such a fun day, as they express there is other kids and families going through a hard time. Thank you Footy Colours Day organisers for this much needed cause. Our school appreciate making our students aware of giving back to others”, said Sumien, SRC Coordinator Gunnedah High School.
Thank you for joining us this year Gunnedah High School, we hope everyone at your school enjoyed the day!
