This year’s Coach’s Award goes to Movelle Primary School for turning their last day of term into a Footy Colours Day celebration!
In addition to students and staff donning their footy colours for a donation, Movelle incorporated our new lesson plans to educate the students on the importance of helping their peers who are going through cancer treatment and the need to keep kids with cancer connected to their school.
“In class, students participated in age appropriate activities, games and lessons sourced from the Footy Colours Day website to not only help celebrate the day, but also learn about this very important cause and how their donations will help kids suffering from cancer”, said Jessie, Movelle Primary School Acting Assistant Principal.
During lunch and recess, a number of students participated in modified footy and soccer games, where they also received Footy Colours Day stickers to wear with pride. Students could also purchase a special footy lunch containing favourites such as meat pies, sausage rolls and hot dogs!
Well done on taking out the Coach’s Award Movelle Primary School!
