Special Mention 2017 - Binnu Primary School
Footy Colours Day is not just about how much money you raise, or how many people get involved – it’s about getting in the spirit of the day and giving what you can.
Footy Colours Day is not just about how much money you raise, or how many people get involved – it’s about getting in the spirit of the day and giving what you can.
With that in mind, this year we want to give a special mention to Binnu Primary School in Western Australia, whose big-hearted effort in 2017 made them impossible to leave out of the Hall of Fame.
“We are a small school of 20 students in the Midwest District, approximately 600km North of Perth. We had students wear their footy colours as well as netball colours. Our students represented the local footy team Northampton Rams, Richmond Tigers, West Coast Eagles & North Melbourne, as well local netball team Northampton Lambs and West Coast Fever,” said Kyra Simkin, Manager Corporate Services.
The efforts of Binnu Primary School in 2017 show that anyone can get involved in Footy Colours Day to help young learners continue with their education.
