Footy Colours Day season is underway
Footy Colours Day season has already kicked off for some schools, with Gulgong High School in New South Wales becoming one of the first teams to show their true colours in 2017.
Olivia Slevin, Vice Captain of Gulgong High School said “We chose [3 March] as it was far away from exams and assignments. Everyone could just relax, have fun and not worry about them.”
Getting involved with Footy Colours Day again was a decision made by Gulgong’s Student Representative Council. “We have done it for a few years as students love wearing their favourite team’s colours. It’s really fun for everyone. Cancer affects many students, so we thought it’s a worthwhile charity,” said Olivia.
