AFLW players attend The Royal Children’s Hospital’s Footy Colours Day
Last month, AFLW stars made a very special visit to some little footy fanatics at The Royal Children’s Hospital to celebrate Footy Colours Day. The players were met with beaming smiles from kids currently receiving treatment.
Footy Colours Day ambassador Eliza Hynes and Brittney Bonnici from Collingwood FC and Eleanor Brown and Danielle Marshall from Western Bulldogs FC, stopped by the hospital on Tuesday 27 August to join in the festivities. In attendance was also our very own Bo Bear!
The morning was spent partaking in special Footy Colours Day activities and games during a learning session with young learners from our education support program. Our program helps kids with cancer stay engaged with their education while they receive and recover from life-saving cancer treatment.
The visit was a fun experience for these little footy fans, and they were over the moon to be able to spend time with professional footy players.
It’s not too late to make a difference in the lives of kids with cancer by registering to host a Footy Colours Day event this September. Sign up for an event pack now.
