Young learners celebrate Footy Colours Day!
This September, we celebrated Footy Colours Day with some very special young learners at The Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne, The Children's Hospital at Westmead and Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick.
Footy Colours Day ambassador and Melbourne FC star Elise O'Dea joined St Kilda champion Leigh Montagna at The Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne to celebrate Footy Colours Day. Fight Cancer Foundation's very own Bo Bear also made a special appearance! The young learners enjoyed a range of activities that touched on learning outcomes including:
- Becoming a commentator for the day and calling a football match
- Scoring a handball competition
- Creating banners
The Children's Hospital at Westmead and Randwick were treated to a surprise visit from West Tigers mascot Timmy the Tiger at their Footy Colours Day celebrations. Timmy was a huge hit with the kids!
